IMMIGRATION OVERVIEW
Permanent Status In Canada
- Skilled Worker Class are persons who qualify under a point system of immigration selection based primarily on education and work experience that are deemed to benefit the Canadian economy. - Business Class are persons who immigrate to Canada as Entrepreneurs, Investors and Self-Employed.
- Family Class are persons who are immediate family members (i.e. common-law spouses, same sex spouses, spouses, unmarried dependent children, parents, grandparents, or siblings under 22 years of age and unmarried) of Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Temporary Status In Canada
- Work Permit is required for a foreign national to work in Canada and will only be issued by an Immigration officer after Human Resources Development Canada ("HRDC") approves the job offer of a prospective Canadian employer to a foreign national.
- Study Permit is required for a foreign national to study in Canada for course which lasts more than six (6) months.
- Visitor Visa must be obtained by all vistors, except those exempt by regulation, before entering to Canada.
